While a BIG SHOOT is always welcome,  and our budgets are consistently aimed at keeping costs contained, sometimes a production does not require all the usual the bells and whistles.

CATO is a guideline uniquely initiated by Dancing Light, to provide high-quality production support with reduced crew, equipment and logistics, as an option for those productions.

 

CATO-ONE offers a reduced crew of 24, including production and medic; small art department allowance, and using less trendy, but still perfectly suitable technical equipment, and reduced logistics. CATO-ONE results in a significant cost saving, without compromising quality or professionalism.

 

An even more pared-down option is CATO-TWO, for more cost-sensitive commercials. This option works with a crew of only 18 people.

Controlled parameters include: vans, not trucks; no heavy dollies, just sliders, light dollies, mini jib arms; no cranes or remote heads or other fancy equipment; an earlier model camera and lenses
